each overlaid on the opaque white ground with a layer of bright translucent blue glass, the vase of baluster form carved with two large crouching taotie between pendent leaves and upright ruyi, the rim with beribboned pearls, the bowl with an everted barbed rim, similarly decorated with archaistic masks between confronting kui dragons; vase 21.5 cm, 8 1/2 in.; bowl 17.5 cm., 6 7/8 in.
