Fun bombé design ring with a central cabochon emerald inbetween two pear-shape diamonds set in platinum collets into a carved rock crystal shank. 1 emerald cabochon 1.55cts approx. pear-shape diamonds 4.46cts approx. Carved rock crystal mounting was recarved and reset by Belperron in 2013 to replace the original. Price: £50,000 to £100,000

Notes: Suzanne Belperron was a pioneering jewellery designer who worked for Maison René Boivin before striking out on her own. Her jewels are rare and have a distinctive style to them that is still fresh and current even today. Belperron produced pieces for some of the most important women of the twentieth century including the Duchess of Windsor and Elsa Schiaparelli.
