Super rare and wonderful terracotta kantharos with a beautifully iridescent allover black glaze decorated in red-figure technique with owl looking forward standing between two laurel sprigs, Greek key along base.  Reverse with four bands of decoration. Size:  4-1/4″D x 4-1/8″ H.

Provenance: J.M.E. collection, New York, acquired in Zurich in May 1984.
