Alexandre Reza was born in Moscow in 1922 and became the most influential gem connoisseur of the XXth century. Not only did he gather one of the greatest collections of rare gems, but bringing craftsmanship to excellency in setting his stones, he created true works of art. He was thus known to be the very private jeweler from Place Vendôme of royals and the rich and famous. His cultivated eye did not stop at gemstones; select Russian 19th century objects and jewels , including works from Faberge, furniture and a compilation of 18th century silver were also amongst his passions.

In the Alexandre Reza High Jewelry House based in Paris Place Vendôme, the rarity, individuality of each stone is understood. The expertise and personal aesthetic sensibility required to discern and to value the different nuances of color, tone, and brilliance, the subjectivity and connoisseurship involved in the selection of finest specimens, all these very specific qualities were bestowed by Alexandre Reza on his son and staff.

Alexandre Reza artistic sensibility, at the core of his being, was passed down, again, to his son Olivier. It drives Olivier’s quest for beauty at all costs”
