This is a small serving platter for a dollhouse, which was crafted by the Augsburg master Johann Baptist II. Weinold in the period between 1689 and 1692. Johann Baptist II. Weinold became a master in 1664 and he died in 1719. The small serving platter is crafted of silver with gilded upper side. The flat oval shape shows in the mirror a landscape relief. The rim is elaborated basket-like in open-work.
The serving platter of gilded silver is hallmarked on the rim with the hallmark Augsburg, the master’s mark Master Johann Baptist II. Weinold and assayer’s marks. The serving platter is in very good condition with minimal traces of age. The dimensions are 9 x 7.6 cm. ™
