with deep rounded sides supported on a recessed base, the exterior covered overall with a mottled ‘purple splash’ glaze, thinning to orange at the rim, the interior and the base applied with a pale blue glaze suffused with crackles, the footring left unglazed revealing a pale orange burnt body; 5.8 cm., 2 1/4 in.
