The vase is sturdily potted with a long slender neck and bulbous body and is covered in a vibrant pinkish-purple glaze streaked with cream and suffused with a subtle web of crackles. 6½ in. (16.5 cm.) high

The vase is potted with a compressed globular body rising to a long slender waisted neck. It is covered in a copper-red glaze suffused with a network of crackles, thinning to cream at the body and mouth. 6½ in. (16.5 cm.) high

The brush pot is moulded in the form of a bamboo stem and is decorated to the exterior with three bands of archaistic dragons. It is covered in an ochre wash and is painted with dark lines and small dots to simulate the natural fibres of bamboo. There is an apocryphal six-character Qianlong seal mark to the base. 3 ½ in. (8.9 cm.) high

A faux ‘archaic bronze’ porcelain censer and cover of gui shape, 18th-19th century. Estimate £3,000 – £5,000 ($4,791 – $7,985). Price Realized  £3,750 ($5,989). Photo Christie’s Image Ltd 2014

The censer is modelled in the archaic style with a pair of dragon-head handles and the sides with two pairs of confronting stylised dragons on a geometrical ground. The censer is fitted with a white-glazed bowl. The slightly domed cover has a band of classical scroll, is surmounted by a flower-bud finial and is incised with a three-character mark. The interior of the censer is covered in a white glaze and the interior of the cover in a turquoise glaze. 8 1/8 in. (20.5 cm.) high

Provenance: A European Private Collection, assembled between 1960s and 1990s.

The exterior is decorated with four shou characters against a stylised diaper ground, and the rim and foot with a key-fret border. All covered in a coral red glaze in imitation of cinnabar lacquer. The interior is decorated in gilt. 4½ in. (11.6 cm.) diam.
