The large ovoid vessel with ribbed lower body, the rounded shoulders rising to a short cylindrical neck with flattened rim, the body covered in a thick black glaze with russet flecks, running down and falling short of the foot, the unglazed lower body covered with thick russet splashes, the glaze at the neck almost entirely russet. 37cm (14.1/2in) high.
