Its wide curving well incised with a composite lotus flower and leaf spray that repeats as continuous scrolls around the exterior walls visible beneath a russet wash and colorless glaze that fired to pale celadon over the four-character markenclosed within a double ring drawn in underglaze blue to the center of the recessed base (glaze abraded). 8 1/8in (20.7cm) diameter
